As summer turns to fall, we have published a brand new Fall 2026 Events Guide covering September through November across all seven communities. One of the things we love most about NW Metro Atlanta is how much there is to do, weekend after weekend. From free concerts on historic town squares to farmers markets, art festivals, and live music, every community in our service area knows how to bring people together.

We are committed to keeping this guide current with the best weekend events across all seven communities. Bookmark it and check back, because we update it as new events are announced and details change.

"All Shook Up" - The Elvis Musical at Marietta Theatre Company

August 21 (Friday) Tickets Required Family Friendly

Marietta Theatre Company presents the season finale of their summer run: All Shook Up, a jukebox musical inspired by the songs of Elvis Presley. Set in a small 1950s town, this high-energy show features hits like Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, and Dont Be Cruel. This is your last chance to catch it before the season ends.

Food Truck Friday + Car Show - Dallas

August 21 (Friday) Free Family Friendly

The City of Dallas continues its monthly Food Truck Friday series, this month paired with a Car Show. Sample cuisine from a rotating lineup of local food trucks while browsing classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles on display. Live music and a festive community atmosphere make this a perfect Friday evening outing.

"Let It Be Jude!" - Beatles Tribute at Canton Events Theatre

August 21-22 Tickets Required All Ages

Canton Events Theatre presents a high-energy Beatles tribute show spanning the Fab Four's greatest hits from I Want to Hold Your Hand through Hey Jude and Let It Be. The performance captures the energy and spirit of the Beatles catalog with authentic instrumentation and vocal harmonies. A great date night or family outing in downtown Canton.

"On the Border" - Ultimate Eagles Tribute at MadLife Stage

August 21-22 Tickets Required Teens & Adults

MadLife Stage and Studios in Woodstock hosts one of the top Eagles tribute bands in the Southeast. Experience the classic Eagles catalog from Hotel California and Desperado to Take It Easy and Life in the Fast Lane. MadLife is an intimate music venue with great acoustics and a full restaurant and bar.

Shift For Life Car and Bike Show - Woodstock

August 22 (Saturday) Free Family Friendly

The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Woodstock hosts a fundraiser showcasing classic cars, custom bikes, and exotic vehicles. All proceeds support local charitable causes. Browse the cars, grab lunch from nearby restaurants, and enjoy a day of shopping at the outlet stores.

Marietta Square Farmers Market

August 22 (Saturday) Free Family Friendly

The Marietta Square Farmers Market runs every Saturday morning from April through December, rain or shine. Fresh local produce, pasture-raised meats, artisan cheeses, farm-fresh eggs, local honey, baked goods, and handmade crafts fill the north end of Glover Park. Live music adds to the festive atmosphere.

Kennesaw Farmers Market

August 22 (Saturday) Free Family Friendly

The Kennesaw Farmers Market continues Saturdays through August at Depot Park. Fresh local produce, baked goods, artisan crafts, and live music make this a great stop for Saturday morning shopping.

Acworth Farmers Market

August 21-22 (Fri-Sat) Free Family Friendly

The Acworth Farmers Market runs Fridays and Saturdays at Logan Farm Park. Fresh produce, baked goods, local crafts, and live music make this a great destination both days.

Woodstock Farm Fresh Market

August 22 (Saturday) Free Family Friendly

Celebrating its 13th season, the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market runs Saturdays from April through December at The Park at City Center in the heart of downtown. Local farmers, artisan food producers, live music, and a lively community atmosphere make this a weekly highlight.

August 28 (last Friday of the month) on Marietta Square. Free, family-friendly, celebrating its 40th season. Bring a blanket or low chair.

Woodstock Jazz Night

August 28 at Woodstock Arts. Free, family-friendly evening jazz concert featuring local and regional musicians.

First Wave 80s New Wave Band at MadLife Stage - Woodstock

August 28 at MadLife Stage. The Smiths, Duran Duran and more. Tickets required.

Marietta Art in the Park - 40th Annual

September 5-7 at Glover Park on Marietta Square. Juried fine arts festival with 220+ artists, live music, childrens activities, and food vendors. Free admission.

Acworth Mimosa Festival

September 6 in Downtown Acworth. Mimosa flavors, craft beer, live music, and food vendors. Tickets required. Adult-focused event.

Paulding Meadows Arts and Crafts Festival

September 6-7 at Earl Duncan Park, Dallas. Juried artisans, live music, food vendors, and childrens activities. Free admission, family-friendly.

Face 2 Face: Elton John and Billy Joel Tribute - Woodstock

September 12 at Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater, Woodstock. Tickets required.

Taste and Brews Music Fest - Canton

September 12-13 at Etowah River Park, Canton. Food, craft beer, and live music. Tickets required.

Pigs and Peaches BBQ Festival - Kennesaw (25th Anniversary)

October 16-17. Headliners include Chayce Beckham and Tigirlily Gold. Tickets required.

Year-Round Destinations

Beyond the scheduled events, NW Metro Atlanta is filled with places you can visit any weekend. Here are a few of our favorites.

Kennesaw Mountain

2,900+ acres of hiking trails, Civil War history, and panoramic views of the Atlanta skyline. Free. Open daily dawn to dusk. Mountain Road is now closed to private vehicles; a free shuttle runs from the visitor center.

Silver Comet Trail

61.5 miles of paved trail from Smyrna to the Alabama state line, with multiple access points in and around Dallas. Perfect for cycling, running, walking, and family bike rides. Free. Open dawn to dusk.

Tellus Science Museum

120,000-square-foot science museum in Cartersville with a planetarium, fossil gallery, mineral exhibits, and outdoor science garden. Great for a rainy weekend day.

The Battery Atlanta

The entertainment district surrounding Truist Park in Cobb County offers dozens of restaurants, bars, shops, and live music venues. Even on non-game days, it is a year-round destination for dining and nightlife.
